Our project is focusing on the migration of African Americans from the South to the North. This study of migration will be studied with the play by Lorranine Hansberry, A Raisin in the Sun. Students will connect the development of the play and its characters to the historical significance and events of The Great Migration.

Connect the Youngers (Family from the play) to The Great Migration. How are these events connected?
The way the Youngers and the African American Migration connect is how after the Africans were free from slavery they all had dreams of living a life similar to Whites.Just like in the play they had dreams too, but what they share is that thier dreams were all deffered.
These events are alike because in the play and in the great migration the Younger's and other blacks still had to deal with racism,and having money problems.
the youngers and the migration relate because in both situations blacks struggled with money and having the rights that they deserved. for example, beneatha was a black who wanted to become a doctor and it was a struggle because she was a woman and black. during migration, women couldnt vote and they didnt have carreers like a doctor
The younger's family and the African American Migration are connected because the younger's are one of the famlies that stayed in the north where the slave masters left them after slavery was over.
THE YOUNGER FAMILY AND THE GREAT MIGRATION ARE CONNECTED BECAUSE IN BOTH OF THIS SITUATION THE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO BETTER THEMSELVES AND HAVE A BETTER LIFE.
The Younger family and the grate migration are connect because after the African Americans were free they had a dream to be as successful as the whites and to be treated as the whites were treated.The Younger's also had the same dream but both the African Americans and the Younger's family dream was not a success.
The Youngers family are similar to the african migration because mama said during her days she had to escape from getting lynched and getting to the north safely.These events are connected because Mama's time is the migration and Walters time is when they have dreams.
The Younger family and the great migration can be connected because they'er both apart of hard times,when people didn't have any money at this time and place.
The youngers family and the migration relate because in both situations black struggled, and were treated unfairly. For example, blacks were beaten by the Ku Klux Klan during the migration. In the play, they couldn't be certain places as whites. In the migration and in the play, things were unfair for African Americans
