Description of our project

Our project is focusing on the migration of African Americans from the South to the North. This study of migration will be studied with the play by Lorranine Hansberry, A Raisin in the Sun. Students will connect the development of the play and its characters to the historical significance and events of The Great Migration.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I LEARNED ABOOUT THE MIGRATION IS THAT BLACK PEOPLE DID WHAT THEY HAD TO DO TO BETTER THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILY,AND THE BEST WAY THEY COULD DO THAT IS BY MIGRATING NORTH.

the most important thing i learned about migration was that you had to work hard if you were a black person. you struggled a lot and sometimes had to accept laws that you thought were unfair. i also learned that some blacks stayed in the South because it was a life that they'd already knew how to live. some blacks stayed in the north because they wanted a better new and different life.

The most important thing that I learned about migration is that being free was something that many people died for. Slavery was no joke and once it was over blacks just wanted to get away from the place that held a lot of pain. Some just stayed though because they didnt know how to do nothing else. freedom shouldn't be taken as a joke because we use to never have it.

The most important thing I learned about migration was that i was able to understand what African Americans really went through. They were never given the same laws and rights as others. They were beaten, killed, and they were of as inferior people.
